    Yesterday afternoon, the Juneau Police Department received a report from Kroger Inc., located in North Carolina, regarding a possible threat at the Juneau Fred Meyer store. After an investigation, the threat was believed to be a hoax.

    The Alaska Department of Public Safety recently released its draft of a new body cam policy in order to receive public feedback. The policy included a number of highlights including that the Department will release recordings of officer-involved shootings to the public following the completion of primary interviews with those involved.

    The Senate Education Committee held a public hearing Wednesday afternoon for Senate Bill 52, which seeks additional funding for education and increases the base student allocation by $1,000.

    Wildlife Biologist with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game and the Orphaned Animal Coordinator for Alaska, say three orphaned moose calves found last spring near Anchorage are now happily adjusting to their new home at Northwest Trek Wildlife Park in Washington .
