Elizabeth Peratrovich Day has become a nationally recognized day. Following a resolution in the U.S. Senate proposed by Senators Dan Sullivan and Lisa Murkowski, which passed unanimously.
Juneau hosted a number of events for Peratrovich Day yesterday, one of which was at the City museum.
News of the North spoke with the Alaska Earthquake Center to talk about earthquake safety in light of the Earthquake that took place in Eastern Turkey and Northern Syria.
Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman remains in the hospital after he checked himself in Thursday to receive treatment for clinical depression.
The controversial immigration policy known as Title 42 will remain in effect for at least three more months. The measure allows border officials to immediately turn away some migrants to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the United States.
