Get a vaccine and Juneau Chamber of Commerce will give you a $20 gift card & a shot at $1,000

The Juneau Chamber of Commerce is giving $20 gift cards, as well a chance to win one of five $1,000 cash drawings, to people who get a first dose or a single dose COVID-19 vaccine. The Healthy Juneau Initiative, which runs June 3 – 29, aims to provide incentives to Juneau residents to get vaccinated.

Here’s how the Chamber of Commerce Healthy Juneau Initiative works:

Gift card giveaway – From June 3 to June 29, get a first dose of a Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, or the single-dose Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine, at a City and Borough of Juneau/Public Health vaccine clinic, or a participating pharmacy or clinic, and you’ll immediately be given a $20 gift card to a Juneau business.

$1,000 raffle – From June 3 to June 29, get a first dose, a single dose, or a second dose COVID-19 vaccine at a CBJ/Public Health vaccine clinic, or a participating pharmacy or clinic, and get entered into one of five $1,000 cash drawings. The drawings will occur on June 30.

Funding for the prizes is provided by the Juneau Chamber of Commerce through the Alaska Chamber and Alaska Department of Health & Social Services vaccine incentive grant program.

Walk-in, make an appointment here, or call 586-6000 for an upcoming CBJ/Public Health clinic:

    • June 3, 10, 17 & 24, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Juneau Public Health Center, 3412 Glacier Highway (Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson when available)
    • June 12, 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the former CBJ Household Hazardous Waste facility, 5436 Commercial Blvd (Pfizer)
    • June 16, 12 to 2:30 p.m. at the True North Federal Credit Union, 2777 Postal Way next to Valley Post Office (Pfizer)

Anyone ages 12 and up is eligible to receive a vaccine in Alaska. The Pfizer vaccine is authorized for ages 12 and up. The Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are authorized for people ages 18 and up. Youth ages 12-17 must be accompanied by a parent/caregiver to the vaccination. For CBJ/Public Health clinics, if a parent/caregiver isn’t able to be there, a parent permission form and a pre-vaccination screening form are required to be printed, completed, and brought to the vaccination.
