Nifty Fifty Trail Race Cancelled due to Unsafe Conditions

    The Nifty Fifty Trail Race in Juneau has been cancelled due to unsafe conditions caused by the recent rainfall.

      The course is flooded in multiple areas. Gold Creek has eaten away a section of Perseverance Trail after lower Red Mill. Mud slides have approached Basin Road and the Flume.

      All three race distances have been cancelled. There was no other date on this year’s calendar to reschedule that did not include other events. Racers can apply their entry fee to next years race or another JTRR race. Contact race director Keith Levy at
