Gastineau Channel Little League Minors All-Stars Begin Tourney

    The Gastineau Channel Little League Minors Division All-Stars, ages 8-10, begin their Special Games tournament play Wednesday against Ketchikan.

      Gastineau Channel has divided into two teams for tournament play.

      GCLL Black includes Gavin Kohan, Micah Polasky, Eli Hayes, Jamison Randolph, Bridger Lockhart, Zev LeVine, Zack Ritter, Matthew Shockley, Adler Janes, Carter Day and Landry Kissner. Manager is Rich Hayes. Coaches are Nick Polasky and Zach Kohan.

      GCLL Red includes Marquis Lim, Jack Pegues, Gabe McGuan, Crosby Landvik, Andrew Erickson, Myles Pasion, Mason Catrett, Hunter Ridle, Paxton Willoughby, Hendrik Van Kirk and Mack Host. Manager is Matt McGuan. Coaches are Mike Lim and Tom Pegues.

      The 2021 Ketchikan Minors All-Stars include Jude Rushton (#11 in White / #20 in Maroon), Rylan Jones (#15/#15), Kaiden Michels (#23/#23), Ashton Marrs (#3/#3), Jack Sayer (#13/#22), Maximus Birch (#6/#6), Kyle James (#9/#9), Fin Lynch (#7/#21), Mckinley Nicholas (#26/#58), Mason Peters (#2/#2), Lucas Rahr (#30/#29), Otto Eckholm (#10/#17) and Blake Phillips (#1/#1). Manager is Brandon Nicholas. Coaches are Jake Schwartz and Trent Birch.

      All games are played on Miller Field number one.

      The tourney Round Robin schedule is as follows:

      Wednesday, July 14, 6 p.m.  - GCLL Black  vs. Ketchikan.

      Thursday, July 15, 6 p.m. - Ketchikan vs. CCLL Red.

      Friday, July 16,  6 p.m. - GCLL Black vs. Red.

      Bracket Play Schedule:

      Game 1, Saturday, July 17, 2 p.m. - #3 Seed vs. #2 Seed.

      Game 2, Sunday, July 18, 2 p.m. - Gm1 winner vs. #1 Seed.

      Game 3, Monday, July 19, 6 p.m. - Loser Gm1 vs. Loser Gm2

      Game 4, Tuesday, July 20, 6 p.m. - Winner Gm2 vs. Winner Gm3 for Special Games Championship.
