    • Hockey Games Cancelled

      Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The puck drops here. Just not tonight, or Saturday. The Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears hockey games scheduled against Railbelt Conference rival Palmer tonight and tomorrow at Treadwell Arena have been cancelled due to a spike of COVID cases in Palmer.

    • Thunder Mountain Girls Fall to Palmer

      Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The Thunder Mountain High School girls basketball team fell to the host Palmer Moose 61-50 in the Palmer Elks Showdown on Thursday. “Sometimes young teams play young,” Thunder Mountain coach Andy Lee said. “We’re young and inexperienced. We’ve had some poor starts and this was one of them.”

    • Baxter, Lockhart Drill Palmer in Thunder Mountain Win

      Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Thunder Mountain High School sophomore Thomas Baxter scored 20 points, classmate Sam Lockhart hit three shots from past the 3-point line in the fourth quarter, and classmate Lance Nierra hit the long distance game winner with seconds remaining to give the Falcons a 57-54 win over the host Palmer Moose in the Palmer Elks Showdown on Thursday.
