Washington, DC (ABC) - The Centers for Disease Control said young people are wrong if they think the coronavirus won't impact them.
Miami reported its first death from COVID-19 on Saturday.
Israel Carrera, 40, was considered fit and healthy.
Days after he attended a dance party on the beach, he developed a fever and cough. Soon afterward he had trouble breathing.
He died after a nine-day stay in the hospital.
His boyfriend said Carrera had high blood pressure but no other known underlying health issues.
The CDC said one in five confirmed virus cases are between the ages of 20 and 44.
