Womens conference will 'ROAR' back to life this weekend

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - SEARHC will celebrate the return of ROAR with its 2022 Women's Conference on Friday and Saturday.

    For the first time in over a year, SEARHC will be hosting the ROAR Women’s Conference at Centennial Hall.

    According to organizer Sherry Patterson, the community event will inspire, uplift and empower the women who attend.

    The event, held at Centennial Hall, will kick off Friday, May 6, at 6:30 p.m. and run until 9 p.m.

    Annie Bartholomew will provide music, and a virtual comedy show will begin at 8 p.m.

    On Saturday, the conference begins with vocalist Alyssa Fischer from Kasaan. Scheduled speakers include Former Lt. Gov. Val Davidson, ANTHC President/CEO; Dr. Tamika Ledbetter, Commissioner, Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development; Annette Bennett, SEARHC Board of Directors and WAVE Executive Director; Andrea Gerry, and Patterson, SEARHC Director of Patient Experience.
