Winter Storm warning issued

    Forecasters expect two systems to impact Juneau in the next few days.

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - A strong weather system is expected to bring windy and snowy weather to the Northern Lynn Canal Saturday, the National Weather Service reports.

    The warning is in effect from 8 am until 9 pm on Saturday.

    The total snow accumulation is expected to be between four and 11 inches in Juneau, Skagway and Haines.

    Southern areas of the region are expected to see a mix of rain and snow.

    Scattered snow showers are forecast for Friday.

    Another storm could strike the area on Monday.
