Weske is new director at Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Anne Weske has been promoted to the directorship of the Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend. She previously served as the fund's operations manager.

In an emailed statement to News of The North, Weske said she is excited to be in her new position.

"I'm so thrilled to get to continue being a part of this amazing team," Weske wrote. "As you probably can tell, I'm passionate about the work that gets done here and feel so honored to be placed in this role.

Weske also added that she is on the hunt for a second-in-command at the PFD headquarters in downtown.

"I don't have a trusted side-kick just yet, but I'm certain by our March interview I'll have someone amazing by my side," Weske said.

Weske replaces Sara Race, who has moved to the Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation.
