Wasilla man killed in Christmas Eve incident ID'd

    Wasilla, Alaska (KINY) - Alaska State Troopers have released a statement after a man died off of South Knik Goose Bay Road.

    According to KTVA in Anchorage, just before 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve, troopers responded to a residence on South Outrigger Drive for reports of shots fired. According to a report issued on Christmas Day, law enforcement found 51-year-old Julian Myers dead when they arrived.

    "The person responsible has been identified and is cooperating with the investigation," troopers stated in the report.

    Myers' family has been notified and the state medical examiner has taken custody of his body.

    The report also stated Palmer law enforcement officers responded and will be taking over the case. Troopers are not releasing further details on the incident at this time.
