CBJ Clerk Beth McEwen said voters who want to update their information or register to vote for the first time are welcome to come by city hall. "We are able to register anyone at the clerks office and at city libraries. People can go online to the state division of elections website and register online."
They do have absentee by mail at the state elections office. Voters need to have one form of identification.
McEwen said some voters do wait until the last minute, "Sometimes voters just don't think about it until it gets close to election time. We do encourage them to get the registration in prior to the deadline. If they want to change their political affiliation that can also do that through the registration process."
