Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Parks and Recreation will be holding a virtual community meeting about park improvements and design concepts for Capital School Park at 6 p.m. on Jan. 12.

The park, located downtown at Fifth and Seward, once served as part of a school in the late 1800s. Now, it is a playground frequented by community members and tourists alike. Its reconstruction has a budget of $1.4 million. For more information on the park, visit the project page.

At the meeting, the City and Borough of Juneau and the design team, MRV Architects, will share results from a community survey, answer questions, and take feedback from attendees.

For more information, contact Project Manager in Engineering Michael Eich at 586-0874 or Michael.Eich@Juneau.org, or go to the community meeting Facebook event.
