Video surveillance taken on the day of missing Juneau man's disappearance obtained by Juneau Police

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The Juneau Police Department said they have surveillance video taken in September of missing Juneau man Douglas Austin Farnsworth.

    Juneau Police Lt. Krag Campbell said that following the initial report, JPD began a missing person investigation to locate Farnsworth.

    During the course of that investigation, police had obtained video surveillance of the Chevrolet pickup Farnsworth was believed to be driving going across the bridge on basin road, on September 30th at about 4:30 am.

    JPD said that the pickup was headed towards the area where the vehicle was later located.

    No other vehicles were observed driving in the area around the same time.

    Later that same morning at about 7 am, Farnsworth was observed on camera, walking alone on the flume trail, away from the area where the pickup was later located.

    Farnsworth is described as a native male, with brown hair. He is about 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 140 pounds.

    The case is still under investigation.
