Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Vaccine distribution in Alaska reaches what the state identifies as "Phase 1a Tier 3."
Phase 1a Tier 3 covers health care workers.
Appointment scheduling started December 30 with the administration of vaccinations beginning Monday.
Those eligible will be able to schedule a vaccination appointment at various locations in Juneau.
They include Costco, the Juneau Public Health Center, Fred Meyer, Ron's Apothecary, and Safeway.
The next phase, Phase 1b Tier 1, is for people 65 and up.
That phase is anticipated to begin in late January.
To date, the state reports 13,772 doses have been administered in Alaska.
