Ty Grussendorf faces prison time

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) Grussendorf, 24, pled guilty to two counts of sexual abuse of a minor in the second degree in court today.

    Grussendorf, will face between five and 99 years in prison when he is sentenced on January 11, 2019.

    The plea was taken by Superior Court Judge Philip Pallenberg this morning in Juneau court.   District Attorney Amy Paige said the charges involve two underage victims.  She said Grussendorf did admit to one aggravating factor that could potentially add to the jail time. 

    Grussendorf had been scheduled for a jury trial set to begin today.  The case dates back to 2015.  He had originally faced other charges that include possession of child pornography, sexual abuse of a minor in the second degree, and attempted sexual abuse of a minor in the first degree.
