Two people killed in vehicle crash in Soldotna

    Soldotna, Alaska (KINY) - The collision at Mile Marker 90.5 on the Sterling Highway claimed the life of Wilma Kyle, 83 and her husband Cedric, 81.

    Alaska State Troopers said a 2006 Dodge Dakota operated by Cedric Kyle was southbound and went out of control on the icy pavement into the northbound lane of travel Friday afternoon.
     
    The pickup collided head-on with a 2020 International Tractor Truck operated by Jason Griner, 48, of Anchorage.
     
    Troopers went on to report that the two victims were pronounced dead at the scene.  Griner was taken to Central Peninsula Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
