
Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - State troopers report that two were pronounced dead on arrival in a two-vehicle car crash Sunday.
On Sunday evening at about 8:44 a motorist called 911 in Soldotna reporting a two-vehicle head-on collision on Cohoe Loop Road near milepost 12 in Kasilof.
Upon the arrival of troopers, an Investigation revealed Matthew Smith was driving a blue 2000 Chevrolet Silverado traveling eastbound on Cohoe Loop Road.
In addition, Hannah Hill was driving a silver 2018 Ford Focus traveling westbound on Cohoe Loop.
The investigation revealed Hill was traveling at a high rate of speed and crossed the double yellow center line, according to troopers.
They said Hill’s vehicle traveled into Smith’s Lane of travel, causing a head-on collision.
Both vehicles received disabling damage and were towed by Jenwar.
Smith was transported to CPH for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Hill was pronounced deceased on scene as well as her passenger Jessica Neff.
The Next of Kin for both Hill and Neff have been notified.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
