Twin Lakes closed to swimming after high bacteria count

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Twin Lakes has been closed to swimming until further notice due to a high fecal-count bacteria test sample.

    The City and Borough of Juneau Parks and Recreation Department samples the water at Twin Lakes on a weekly basis and the last results came back with a high count.

    Due to this, it is highly recommended that people and pets do not swim in the lakes.
