Troopers solve burglary

    Ketchikan, Alaska (KINY) - Two suspects were taken into custody to face multiple charges.

    Troopers said Bronson Murphy, 19, was charged with entering a storage container on Kelly Drive.  He faces charges of burglary in the second degree and criminal trespass in the first degree on Friday.

    Troopers said a second suspect fled the scene.  They processed the scene for evidence and identified a suspect.

    Troopers on Saturday arrested Jacob Lassiter, 18, for a felony warrant and then charged him with burglary in the first degree and criminal trespass in the first degree.

    Troopers went to a residence on Huddle Road and served the arrest warrant for assault in the second degree.  He was held without bail at the Ketchikan Correctional Center.

    Troopers said Murphy, was in the residence at the time and attempted to hinder the arrest of Lassiter by not immediately opening the door when directed to by Troopers.  He was charged with violation of conditions of release and hindering prosecution in the first degree.  He was held without bail at the Ketchikan Correctional Center.
