Troopers serve several arrest warrants

    Ketchikan, Alaska (KINY) Alaska State Troopers made four warrant arrests in southeast Alaska.

    Troopers on Prince of Wales Island arrested Tanya Bitonti, 40, of Hydaburg on an outstanding warrant Saturday.  She faces charges of theft in the third degree and misconduct involving a controlled substance in the fourth degree.  She was held at the Craig Jail to await a court appearance.

    Troopers also arrested Wiley Heppe, 28, of Thorne Bay on an outstanding warrant.  He was released after posting bail.

    Troopers in Ketchikan arrested Toni Rae Sanderson, 38, on an outstanding warrant charging her with violation of conditions of release.  Bond was set at $500. 

    They also arrested Ryan Evan, 40, after a traffic stop on North Tongass Highway.  Troopers learned Evens had a warrant for his arrest.  He was held without bail at the Ketchikan Correctional Center.

    Troopers also investigated the report of a moose carcass that wasn't salvaged on Wrangell island.  The case of wanton waste remained under investigation.  Alaska Wildlife Troopers asked for the public's help with the investigation.  The wildlife safeguard tip line is 1-800-478-3377.  Persons who report any information can remain anonymous and are eligible for a reward.
