Troopers seize drugs

    Thorne Bay, Alaska (KINY) A routine traffic stop on a motorcycle turned up a large quantity of illegal drugs

    A dispatch from Alaska State Troopers said Robert McLaughlin, 36, was charged with misconduct involving a controlled substance in the second degree and misconduct involving a weapon in the fifth degree after the traffic stop Monday morning on Prince of Wales Island.

    Troopers only would say the investigation resulted in a large amount of drugs being seized from McLaughlin.

    McLaughlin was held at the Craig Jail without bail to await a future court appearance.
