Troopers Searching for Man in Prince of Wales

    Juneau, AK (KINY) - State Troopers are looking for a man who has a warrant out for his arrest who is eluding arrest in the woods of Prince of Wales in the Goose Creek area.

    According to Trooper Dispatch Reports:

    Troopers went to the Goose Creek area on Friday evening to arrest 34-year-old Thorne Bay resident Tucker Thompson and 28-year-old Klawock resident Wiley Heppe, who both had outstanding warrants. Initially, troopers were unable to locate either of these people and it seemed that they had fled into the woods nearby.

    Not long after arriving, Heppe came out of the woods and was arrested. When asked about Thompson, Heppe had told troopers that he was not in the woods. However, troopers were able to determine that Thompson had in fact been in the woods. They were unable to locate him.
