Troopers investigating Gustavus crimes

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Alaska State Troopers investigated two crimes in the Southeast Alaska community of Gustavus Monday.

    Juneau based Troopers responded to a report of a vehicle theft early that morning.  A Trooper dispatch reports the investigation revealed  Gustavus man allegedly stole a vehicle from the victim on Trudy Street. During the theft, the victim was injured while trying to intervene and the vehicle was damaged. The identities of the suspect and victim were not revealed.

    And in the early afternoon Troopers responded to a report of a burglary in Gustavus. The residence was unoccupied at the time and several items appear to be stolen including a firearm.

    In both cases, the investigations continue.
