Troopers investigate suspicious incident

    Ketchikan, Alaska (KINY) - Police said a resident heard someone trying to break into their home.

    Alaska State Troopers said they responded to the report of a suspicious incident near the 10.8-mile marker on North Tongass Highway around 3 am Saturday.
    Troopers said a group of individuals attempted to enter into the residence.  The homeowner was in the residence at the time and was successful in preventing the individuals from making entry.
    Troopers said the suspects fled on foot and their identities are unknown.
