Troopers find wanted man in woods

    Prince of Wales, Alaska (KINY) One wanted man was arrested but a second remained at large after a search by Alaska State Troopers.

    A dispatch from Troopers said the searched in the Goose Creek area of Prince of Wales Island  to look for Tucker Thompson, 34, of Thorne Bay and Wiley Heppe, 28, of Klawock.  Both men had outstanding warrants for their arrest.

    Troopers learned the pair had fled into the woods.  Heppe surrendered late Friday.  Troopers continued to search for Thompson but suspended the search Saturday.

    Troopers went on to ask the public for assistance in trying to locate Mr. Thompson.  The public is asked to all (907) 826-2918.
