Troopers arrest knife wielding man

    Big Lake, Alaska (KINY) The report of an assault led Troopers into the path of a man armed with a knife.

    Archie MacNeven, 42, allegedly pointed the knife when troopers responded to a residence on Goldstreak Drive for the report of a stabbing.  Its alleged MacNeven stabbed a family member multiple times causing serious injuries.  The troopers used a taser to disarm and arrest the man.  The victim was treated at Mat-Su Regional Hospital and is expected to survive.

    A Trooper dispatch also reported that MacNeven has been charged with assault in the first degree, assault in the second degree and assault of a peace officer.

    He was held without bond at the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.
