Troopers arrest Ft. Wainwright man on sexual abuse of minor charges

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Alaska State Troopers announced in a dispatch Monday that 19-year-old Brendon Middleton of Fort Wainwright was arrested for multiple charges of Sexual Abuse of a Minor.

The dispatch explains that the arrest stemmed from a previous investigation of US Army active-duty members committing crimes relating to sexually abusing young teenagers in the Fairbanks and North Pole area during 2021-2022.

The investigation led to the arrest of Middleton who was jailed at the Fairbanks Correctional Center.   Troopers say additional charges are forthcoming as the investigation continues.
