Latest on Traffic accident victim suffered life threatening injuries

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - A one-vehicle rollover was reported outbound on Egan Drive at the Fred Meyer intersection before 4 Monday afternoon.

    Juneau Police report the single-vehicle accident involved an SUV.  The 31-year-old woman operating the vehicle was ejected and transported to the hospital with what were described as "very life-threatening injuries."  The woman's identity has not been released.

    Her vehicle was described as a silver 2008 GMC Yukon.

    Both the inbound and outbound lanes of the roadway between Fred Meyer and McNugget intersection were shut down with traffic diverted on to Yandukin Drive.

    Spokesperson Erann Kalwara said police are not releasing the name of the female yet.  She confirmed the injured female was flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment.

    She did not have additional details about the cause of the crash.
