Teens charged with harassing wildlife

    Petersburg, Alaska (KINY) A video on social media led to charges against two Petersburg teens.

    A dispatch from troopers said the two teens were charged with misdemeanor charges of reckless driving and harassment of game.   The driver, 17 years old, allegedly intentionally struck two of three Sitka black tail deer standing on Wrangell Avenue February 5th.  A passenger, also 17, placed a video of the incident on social media.  Troopers said based on the video and the audio they determined that the incident was intentional.

    The dispatch went on to state that blood was found on the scene but no deceased animals.  The air were due to be arraigned in Petersburg on February 26th.
