Suspicious activity near trailer fire

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) Fire alarms sounded just after midnight to Kodzoff Acres #1.

    Assistant Fire Chief Ed Quinto said crews found the trailer 50 percent involved when they arrived.  A man inside had been awoken by a smoke detector and had exited the trailer safe and sound.  He also moved his pickup truck away from the flames to avoid damage.


    Quinto went on to state that the fire was knocked down by crews in about 10 minutes.


    Fire Marshall's are investigating the cause of the blaze.  In a statement that said the fire started in a storage shed that was built on the backside of the single wide trailer.  While the exact cause of the fire is undetermined, investigators have learned that there were reports of suspicious activity that occurred on the property just before fire personnel arrived
