Student found dead at UAS

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) No foul play is suspected after the body of a 50 year old male student was found on campus Sunday.

    UAS Spokesperson Keni Campbell said a 50 year old male student was found dead at the University of Alaska Southeast Juneau campus on Sunday night, "We have notified his next of kin and the police and the cause of death and things like that are under investigation by police.  We are respecting the families privacy."  She went on to say that there was no cause for alarm and no threat to the campus.

    Juneau police said foul play is not suspected.    The man has recently enrolled for the spring semester.

    Campus leadership met Sunday night and this morning to arrange counseling support for any students or employees impacted by the incident.
