State starts COVID-19 economic recovery resource portal

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The Alaska Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development has launched a website to assist businesses during the coronavirus pandemic.

The department has launched the COVID-19 Economic Recovery Resource Portal for Business website.

The website is the result of the department’s ongoing efforts, at the direction of Governor Mike Dunleavy, to assemble information and tools to help Alaskan businesses deal with the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The page will be updated frequently as new tools become available at the State or Federal level.

“My administration continues to work with Alaskan workers and business owners to not only protect your health, safety, and welfare, but to protect our state’s economic health as well,” said Gov. Mike Dunleavy. “This portal has been created by our DCCED team as part of the Alaska COVID-19 Economic Stabilization Plan to assist those experiencing hardship due to the COVID-19 economic shutdown.”

Included on this page are the state revolving loan funds specifically designed to work with small businesses and permit loans to be made for operating capital; contact information for the small business development centers around the state; information for the veterans’ business outreach center; and links to other organizations that can provide assistance during these uncertain times.
