State reports eight additional cases of COVID-19

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The state now has a total of 285 cases.

    There have been nine deaths due to the virus in Alaska. Juneau confirmed an 18th case.

    Four cases have been confirmed at Lemon Creek Correctional.

    The Department of Health and Social Services reported 98 people have recovered and 32 patients remain hospitalized.

    Nearly 21% of the cases have been reported of patients between the ages of 30 and 39.

    Over 8,300 tests have been administered.

    There are 37 cases in southeast Alaska.
