State reports 13 new cases of COVID-19

    Anchorage, Alaska (KINY) - The state now has 226 cases of COVID-19 with 62 caused by travel and 92 considered local cases.

    There was also a seventh death caused by the illness.  There were 27 people hospitalized while 32 people have recovered from the virus.

    The case totals remained at 30 in Southeast Alaska.  Juneau has 14 cases, Ketchikan 14 cases and Petersburg two cases.

    The report showed 103 cases in Anchorage, 13 in the Kenai Peninsula, 71 in Fairbanks, five in the Mat-Su Borough, and one in Bethel.
