Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services reported Sunday that 166 new people were identified with COVID-19 in the state. All were residents.
Anchorage led the way with 47 cases. In Southeast Alaska, two cases were reported in Ketchikan and one each in Juneau and Sitka.
The state's alert level remains at high.
There are currently 48 patients diagnosed with COVID-19 who are hospitalized and nine additional patients who are considered persons under investigation for a total of 57 current COVID-related hospitalizations. Seven of these patients are on ventilators.
There have been 72,145 initial doses administered and 16,186-second doses to date.
