State COVID-19 case total remains at 408 Sunday

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services daily report no additional cases Sunday with Juneau's case number holding at 31.

    The report said 358 patients have recovered, 45 have been hospitalized during the pandemic, and 10 people have died.

    There are 40 active cases in the state.

    The said also reported that 10 people are currently in the hospital or a person under investigation for having the virus.

    The daily report also showed 1,000 hospital beds are being used with 819 available.

    The state also reported 85 intensive care beds are being used with 110 available.

    The report went on to state that 29 ventilators are being used with 316 available.

    There are 54 cases in Southeast Alaska.

    There are 85 cases in the Fairbanks North Star Borough, 18 in North Pole, 14 in Wasilla, three in Nome, and 13 in Eagle River.
