State confirms four new cases of COVID-19

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The number of confirmed cases in Alaska continued to inch up today with the case total now at 355.

    The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services said 240 people have recovered.  A total of 36 have been admitted to the hospital during the pandemic.

    About 20 percent of the cases were of persons between the ages of 30-39.

    The department is tracking 115 active cases at the current time.  14 people are currently hospitalized due to the virus.

    The case count in our region remained the same with 27 cases in Juneau, 16 in Ketchikan, four in Petersburg, two in Craig, and one in Sitka.

    The ADHSS reports 22 cases have recovered in Juneau while all 16 are recovered in Ketchikan.
