Snowmachiner found dead

    Seward, Alaska (KINY) - Alaska State Troopers identified the victim as Cody Slemp, 40, of Seward.

    Troopers said they received a report of a man who was overdue in returning from a ride on his snowmachine early Monday.

    Slemp had been last seen around 2:30 pm Sunday.

    The Alaska Rescue Coordination Center, Bear Creek Fire Department, and numerous volunteers assisted in the search.

    He was found dead near Bear Lake just after 2 pm on Monday.
