Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - A resident of Mexico has been charged by Alaska Wildlife Troopers at the Sitka Post for making false statements to obtain resident fishing, hunting, and crew licenses in Alaska.
A dispatch posted Sunday identified the man as 35-year-old Colin T. Sutton.
The dispatch said investigation revealed Sutton does not qualify as an Alaskan resident.
He was charged with 8 counts of false statements on sport fishing and hunting licenses, one count of attempting to take moose without a non-resident locking tag, one count of attempting to take deer without a non-resident locking tag, and one count of false statement on a commercial crewmember license.
An arraignment is set in the District Court at Sitka on May 25.
