
Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Sitka Police report that a man was arrested Friday Morning after they received a report of an individual being assaulted.
They say that on Friday morning at about 7:15, a 911 caller reported a male was outside the Pioneer Bar with lacerations on his hand, inflicted by another male with a knife.
Officers responded to the area and located the bleeding man, who stated he had been sitting at his kitchen table when Brandon Ledbetter approached him from behind and attempted to stab him in the chest area.
The victim, 55 years old, was able to grab the knife, deflecting it, and flee the area to find help.
The 39-year-old Ledbetter was arrested on one felony count of Assault in the Second Degree.
He is currently being held at the Sitka Jail on a $5,000 bail.
