Sitka drug case could be resolved

    Sitka, Alaska (KINY) - Robbie Morgan pled guilty to federal charges after US postal inspectors intercepted two packages, one that contained cash and a second that contained illegal drugs.

    Morgan was charged with possession with the intent to distribute controlled substances.

    US Postal inspectors said they intercepted two packages mailed to Morgan's Post office box.

    Authorities said one package mailed to Morgan in Anchorage contained over $8,600 in cash.

    One delivered to Sitka contained 264 grams of methamphetamine.

    Authorities said a search of his Sitka home turned up more methamphetamine and heroin.

    Morgan will be sentenced on June 25.
