Short-term rental Town Hall to be held in Sitka

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The City and Borough of Sitka announced that they will be holding a town hall for residents regarding short-term rentals

    The public is invited to attend a town hall meeting hosted by Assembly Members Kevin Knox and Kevin Mosher regarding short-term rentals in Sitka.

    In a release from CBS, they said the purpose is to provide an opportunity for Sitkans to share ideas on regulating short-term rentals in a way that maintains economic opportunities, preserves neighborhood character, and minimizes negative impacts on available housing.

    The meeting will be held Monday, April 18 at 7:00 p.m., at Harrigan Centennial Hall, rooms 5 and 6.

    Those unable to attend in person may submit written comments to clerk@cityofsitka.org no later than noon on Monday, April 18.

    No Assembly business will be conducted.
