Shooting leads to attempted murder charge

    Mountain Village, Alaska (KINY) - Alaska State Troopers said Isaiah Moses, 23, of Mountain Village, was shot twice in the lower extremities and left hospitalized after a dispute Saturday.

    Troopers said Kevin Polty, 21, of Mountain Village was charged with attempted murder in the first degree, assault in the first degree, assault in the fourth-degree, misconduct involving weapons in the second degree and resisting arrest.

    Moses was expected to survive the shooting.

    Troopers said Polty was held at the Yukon Kuskokwim Correctional Center in Bethel.
