Second arrest made in connection to Ketchikan airport drug bust

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Ketchikan police report that they have arrested another individual in connection to the drug bust involving two women and $200,000 dollars worth of drugs.

    The conspirator, identified by KPD as 38-year-old Ketchikan man Tony Teal, was contacted during a traffic stop Sunday, at that time, they executed a search warrant.

    According to the release, on Teal was 5 suspected fentanyl pills and $1,191 cash.

    At his house, they found about $20,000 cash and an AR patterned rifle with a barrel less than 16” in length.

    Teal was arrested and charged with two counts of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree and one count of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, as a conspirator in connection to the drug bust at the airport on December 22nd.

    He was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center and initially held without bail.
