Rock used in assault

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - A Juneau woman was hospitalized after she suffered a head injury during an argument with her boyfriend, Juneau Police said.

    James Hefley, 30, has been charged with two counts of assault in the second degree and one count of assault in the third degree.

    Police said the assault took place under the Gold Creek Bridge over Egan Drive on Tuesday night.

    Lt. Krag Campbell said they found the female bleeding from the head wound.  She also complained about being strangled by the suspect.

    The victim was taken by Capital City Fire Rescue to Bartlett Hospital for treatment.  She was listed in stable condition.
