Robbers sentenced for crime spree

Anchorage, Alaska (KINY) Two men who robbed a bank, three liquor stores and a gas station over an eight day period in August, 2016, were sentenced in US District Court.

Kaleem Fredericks, 24, received 10 year and 10 months for the crime spree.  Prosecutors allege he brandished a short barreled shotgun and a BB gun that looked like the real thing at the victims.

His accomplice, Calel Crofford, 25, received 10 years in prison at an earlier hearing.

Prosecutors said the pair stole about $31,000 in items during the crime spree.  They were arrested when they bought airplane tickets to the Virgin Islands.
