Reward offered to solve arson

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - A $1,000 reward was offered by the Juneau Crime Line and Crime Stoppers to try and solve the vehicle arsons reported on Glacier Highway on May 3.

    Two-vehicles burned up in the parking lot at the Peterson Creek trailhead around 4:30 am on May 3.

    A Subaru and a Scion were both destroyed by the flames.  There were no injuries reported.

    A passing motorist spotted the flames and alerted authorities.

    The Capital City Fire Rescue Fire Marshal Dan Jager, the U.S. Forest Service, Alaska State Troopers and the Juneau Police Department are investigating the incident.
