Regional tournament has busy schedule today

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - There are eight games on the schedule for the Region V basketball tournament at Juneau-Douglas High School.

In Class 2A girls, Metlakatla will take on Craig at 8 am.

In Class 2A boys, Petersburg will meet Wrangell at 9:45 am.

In Class 4A girls, Thunder Mountain High will take on Ketchikan.  The losing team is eliminated.  They tip around 11:30 am.

In Class 4A boys, Juneau Douglas takes on Ketchikan in an elimination game.  They tip at 1:15 pm

In other games, Haines meets Wrangell in 2A girls action in a loser's bracket game at 3 pm while Craig will meet Metlakatla in a losers bracket game at 4:45 in 2A boys action.

The Class 3A tournament also gets underway tonight with Sitka girls taking on Mount Edgecumbe at 6:30 pm and Sitka boys meeting Mt. Edgecumbe at 8:15 pm.
