Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The Rasmuson Foundation has announced that it will contribute $1.25 million to support the Teal Street Center. As of this contribution, 58% of the fundraising goal has been reached.
The center is going to be a nonprofit facility that would serve as southeast Alaska's social services hub, located in Juneau.
$750,000 will be given in the form of a grant and $500,000 as a low-interest loan.
United Human Services of Southeast Alaska, or UHS, is coordinated the fundraising and construction and will run operations when the center is opened. This center will be next door to the new Glory Hall.
